book Club
Details & Schedule:
Directed by Andrielle Davidson, St George Dance Company is excited to adapt to the stage one of the greatest scary stories ever written! Mary Shelley's "Frankenstein", written in the year 1818, has been a classic since, but has never been adapted for the screen in it's true spirit. None of the films made so far have told the real story. Readers of the book are often surprised to find that the monster is not a slow, inarticulate, green brute. Shelley crafted a villain that is scary because of his cunning, and manipulative intelligence that St. George Dance Company will be bringing to life through dance.
If you have never read the book Frankenstein but would like to, (or would like to read it again) we will be holding a book club open to anyone who would like to read and discuss it with us! You may read at your own pace or use the reading guide below. We will have a discussion on October 4th at 6:00pm. On October 4th at 6:00pm, we will be hosting a discussion about the book with refreshments and a Q&A with the directors where you can get the inside scoop on our preparations for the show! Let the reading begin (officially) on August 18th!
