Auditions

Performance Dates:

April 11, 12, 13, 2024 - 7:30pm

What we are looking for:

2024 is the 100 year anniversary of Gershwin's iconic "Rhapsody in Blue." Our spring show will be a celebration of the past 100 years of music and dance. Pieces will be choreographed to iconic songs from different eras. We are looking for 8-10 dancers for this show.

Rehearsal Commitment

In addition to dancers’ abilities, we cast based on availability - meaning, you will only be cast in a certain section or role if you are available to rehearse on the nights scheduled for it. This gives dancers flexibility and helps the learning process go more efficiently.

 

Rehearsal time options are as follows:

  • Mondays 8-10

  • Tuesdays 8-10

  • Wednesdays 8-10

  • Thursdays 8-10

  • Possible Saturday afternoons

*Mandatory studio dress rehearsals:

  • March 25 - 8:00-10:00pm

  • April 2, 4 - 8:00-10:00pm

*Mandatory dress and tech rehearsals:

  • Monday, April 8 - 4:30-10:00pm

  • Tuesday April 9 - 4:30-10:00pm

  • Wednesday, April 10 - 4:30-10:00pm

*Must be in attendance - no exceptions.

Classes

Included for all participants is a coupon code to register for any St George Dance Company classes for free!

 

This includes both our ongoing classes and short courses.

Video Auditions

If you are unable to attend the audition in person, we would still love to consider you for a part.

 

Please fill out the registration form as if you were planning on coming, and include a video of yourself demonstrating your ballet and contemporary technique. If the file is too large, email it to us instead.

 

Make sure you submit your audition before August 25th as well will be making decisions directly after the audition process.
